Set up your account

warning

RehabAlpha is still under active development. It is not yet HIPAA compliant and should only be used with dummy data.

Your account is your personal RehabAlpha login. It stores your name, email address, sign-in security, organization invitations, and signing PIN.

Sign-up includes entering your account details, verifying your email, and setting up text-message two-factor authentication.

Before you start

  • Have access to your email inbox and a phone (with a U.S. phone number) that can receive text messages.
  • If you received an organization invitation, start from its link. RehabAlpha opens sign-up for a new account or sign-in for an existing account. Use the email address that received the invitation.

Create an account

  1. Go to rehabalpha.com/signup.
  2. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and password.
  3. Click Sign up.

RehabAlpha sends a verification email to the address you entered.

Verify your email

  1. Open the verification email from RehabAlpha.
  2. Follow the verification link in the email.
  3. Return to the RehabAlpha sign-up tab if it is still showing Verify your email.
  4. Click I have verified my email.

If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder. If you still don't see it, click Resend verification email.

If RehabAlpha says it cannot confirm that the email was sent, click Send verification email.

If you entered the wrong email address, click Entered the wrong email? Start over.

Set up two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication protects your RehabAlpha account with a text-message verification code.

  1. Enter your 10-digit phone number.
  2. Complete the security check if one appears, then click Send Code.
  3. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent by text message.
  4. Click Complete Sign Up.

If the code does not arrive, click Resend code ». To correct the number, click Use a different phone number ».

After setup finishes, RehabAlpha normally opens My account. If you started from an invitation or another page that required sign-in, it returns you to that page instead.

Country code

Only U.S. phone numbers (+1 country code) are supported.

When you sign in, you'll need a new code sent to your phone. Your session can last up to 16 hours before you need to sign in again.

Accept an invitation

If another therapy company invited you to RehabAlpha, invitations sent to your verified email address appear on your account page after you complete sign-up.

  1. Open your account page.
  2. Find Invitations.
  3. Review the organization name.
  4. Click Accept to join the organization.

After you accept, RehabAlpha opens the organization's workspace. If you started sign-up from an invitation's acceptance link, RehabAlpha can process the acceptance when you return to it after setup.

Resume unfinished setup

If you leave before finishing, sign in with the email address and password you already entered to continue setup. Complete any remaining email or phone verification steps.

If Confirm your name appears, review your first and last name and click Continue. If account setup fails after phone verification, use the displayed retry button. If Finish account setup says your account is ready, click Continue to complete sign-in.

Review your account page

The account page is where you manage your personal RehabAlpha workspace.

From your account page, you can:

  • open organizations you already belong to
  • create a new organization
  • create a test organization with sample data
  • review account details
  • accept or reject organization invitations

To create or change your signing PIN or delete your account, open the account menu and select Account settings. You can also select Account settings in the account sidebar.

Create a signing PIN

Your signing PIN is separate from the text-message codes used during sign-up. Create it after account setup when you need to sign documents in RehabAlpha.

  1. Open the account menu and select Account settings.
  2. Find Signing security.
  3. Click Create signing PIN.
  4. If prompted, enter your current password and complete two-factor authentication.
  5. Enter a 6-digit PIN in New signing PIN and repeat it in Confirm signing PIN.
  6. Click Create PIN.

Use a PIN that you can remember, but do not share it with other users.

What to do next

After your account is set up, set up an organization or accept an invitation to join an existing organization.
