Start a therapy case

RehabAlpha is still under active development. It is not yet HIPAA compliant and should only be used with dummy data.

A therapy case is the home for one discipline's episode of care, such as PT, OT, or SLP. Start a case when a patient needs skilled therapy documentation for that discipline.

Before you start​

Confirm that the patient has:

  • a patient record under the correct facility
  • an admission for the period of care
  • coverage and billing setup, if your organization tracks billing in RehabAlpha

Create the case​

  1. Open the patient and select the admission.
  2. Click New case.
  3. Choose the discipline.
  4. Select the appropriate template when prompted.
  5. Complete the required case fields.
  6. Save the case.

What comes next​

After the case is created, document the evaluation. The evaluation establishes the plan of care and starts the clinical documentation trail for that case.
