Change your signing PIN
RehabAlpha is still under active development. It is not yet HIPAA compliant and should only be used with dummy data.
Your signing PIN is the 6-digit code RehabAlpha requires for every in-app signature. You can change it from Account settings, even if you have forgotten your current PIN.
Before you start
- Complete account setup, including email verification and text-message two-factor authentication.
- Have your account password and access to the phone that receives your verification codes. RehabAlpha may ask you to verify your identity before saving a new PIN.
Change your PIN
- Sign in to RehabAlpha.
- Open the account menu and select Account settings.
- Under Signing security, click Change signing PIN.
- If Verify your identity appears, enter your Current password and click Continue. Enter the text-message code in Verification code, then click Verify.
- Enter a 6-digit PIN in New signing PIN and enter it again in Confirm signing PIN.
- Click Save PIN and wait for the dialog to close as your account refreshes.
Use the new PIN the next time you sign a document in RehabAlpha. Keep it private and do not share it with other users.
You should know
- Your signing PIN is separate from your account password and the verification codes sent to your phone.
- If you signed in or verified your identity within the last five minutes, RehabAlpha opens the PIN form without asking you to verify again.
- RehabAlpha rejects common PINs, including repeated digits and common sequences. If your PIN is rejected, choose a less predictable one.
If you have not created a PIN yet
If Signing security shows Not set up yet, click Create signing PIN. Follow the same verification and PIN-entry steps above, then click Create PIN. The status changes to Configured after your account refreshes.
