Admission​

A patient's stay at a facility during which care is provided. An admission connects the patient, facility, dates of stay, and billing episodes.

Authorization​

Approval from a payor for therapy services during a specific date range or up to a specific limit.

Billing episode​

A section of an admission that records the primary payor, the payor's payment model type, disciplines, and dates used for therapy services.

Case​

A discipline-specific therapy episode, such as a PT, OT, or SLP case.

Coverage​

A relationship between a patient, a payor, and a date range. Coverage represents who may be responsible for paying for care.

Facility​

A location where therapy services are provided, such as a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, hospital, or outpatient clinic.

Notice​

An actionable reminder that something needs attention, such as an expiring license, missing documentation, or past-due progress report.

Payor​

The person, plan, or program responsible for paying for all or part of a patient's care. In RehabAlpha, one payor record represents one reimbursement or benefit lane with one payment model type.

Re-evaluation​

A clinical document used when therapy continues beyond the current certification period.
